Went with my cuz to buy a pair of blades for himself on Saturday. Not too bad a deal I think... Looks rather sleek, rather nice, Rollerblade brand... and going for only $239. (Okay, keep it to yourself if there's a better deal elsewhere.)
Anyway, after he bought his blades, I ventured to start teaching him how to. Step by step... at a multi-storey carpark near his place. Hey! Ain't too bad I would say. By the end of the 'lesson', he was able to take steps and semi-glide... heheh... with the right posture too! So proud... of my cousin... (And of course of myself for being such a capable teacher... lol...)
Some news, going to start working temp tomorrow at WLAW. My cuz-in-law got me in... kinda last minute because I thought that I was able to start work on Wednesday.... (I have a 'interview' of sorts on tuesday... So thought it's better if I confirm whether I wanna work temp or not after the interview...) But cuzzie told me to start work tom... Oh wells... A little exciting, a little disappointing...Cuz I thought that I would have at least 2 more days to NUAH! Hehe.... But like what my aunt was telling me, a dollar earned is better then none... and ten dollars earned a day, means savings after five dollars spent at the end of the day. MAKES sense I suppose....
Anyway, it was just a dilemma between the opportunity cost of leisure time when I officially not working, VS tiring myself out before I start work proper (where ever that may be).
OH wells... There goes leisure... Just when my lifestyle of a lady of leisure is rather becoming.. Lol....
Will update more again... about what happens tomorrow! Ta for now...

My Embroidery Projects so far!!
Mentioned earlier that I started some sewing projects when I stopped working? Decided to post up the pics so that I have a copy of them online... In case my laptop crashed... Which coincidentally, was what happened to my desktop... Grrr....
Anyway, here are some of those that I designed and sewed myself... some others that I just added beads and sequins on designs that are already on the tops, aren't included here...
Slept at 6am last night doing this.... plan to send this over the California to RL as a very belated birthday present!
My most recent accomplishment...
What I wore for CNY 2005!
My Pink flower...
What I did for Mamio...

How to teach English?
Came home yesterday after tuition pondering on this question:
How does one teach English?
English's definitely not something that can be learnt over night. And to have a proper grasp of the language, it takes time to build a strong foundation... before constructing on it.
Seeing my student struggle with the language, sometimes I get lost. Lost because I lose sense of where to start, how to start teaching her. She's 17 but her english is probably the standard of one who's primary 3/4. BUT the problem is, for students who have been brought up in singapore, by the time they reach primary 3 or primary 4, they would have a set of language knowledge of sorts, even if they can't grasp everything completely. But for my kid, there seem to be parts and parcels missing..... Gaps to be filled in....
Well, figured that I really do need to sit down and think about how I can carry out the lessons in a more structure manner that best benefits my kid. Doesn't help that lessons keep getting interrupted because she has stuff from school that she needs help with.
I need advice... Shall go talk to jean jie.... :)

Noted....
Hahha.. was reading the U.S. version of Cosmopolitan when I came across this.. Simply got to note it down!
Senseless Studs: There's a reason why guys are so illiterate when it comes to reading body language: biology. Men don't have as many active sensory centers as women do, so they don't pick up on many of the visual clues.
Hrrrrrmmm.... now I know why.....
Blog more later!

I went to the Doctor's...
Sigh... woke up with runny nose, blocked nose, irritated throat and a slight cough all at once. Tried to clear the blocked passages and realised that I've got tonnes of flam.... EUKS...
Decided to go see a doc because my parents have been nagging at me ever since I had my cough last October... Seen the doc 3 times since... and din recover. Sigh... I mean there were times when it seems to have gotten better but it's always recurrent! Most irritated...
Anyway, the doctor was kinda over friendly today. Hahaha.. Not that it wasn't good. I mean he started talking to me about financial planning and the importance of it, and how he feels that cash flow and financial planning should be something that is taught from young, like primary school.
I TOTALLY agree! I mean I've encountered peers my age who are totally ignorant and boh chup about financial planning. Well, to be honest, if not for my own experience in Prudential, I might be ignorant and boh chup about it too. But then again, in retrospect, given my family background, it would be difficult to be boh chup.
Anyway, what he said gave me an idea... But I'm lazy to go think about it. Let me ponder about it... then tell you more.. Hehehe... Okies, I gtg do marking. TTYL!

CNY coming to end...
Kinda sad seeing that CNY is coming to an end.... I just love festivities....
Aside from the fact that I grow fat during festive seasons. Remind me not to hold my wedding in December, or Jan, Feb periods for that very reason... Won't be able to stop eating and therefore will not be able lose weight and be slim like every other bride... Hahaah
Anyway, been really bz lately. My Mum's god-ma passed away last thursday... so over the weekend, I attended the funeral and stuff... She's 89 already and I would say that she's lead a happy and fullfilling life. Anyway, my god grandma has been bed-ridden for the last 5 years, so I'm pretty sure that she's happier and more at peace now...
Robbie's maid, yee-mah, is also leaving today. So went back to his place for dinner yesterday. Kinda like a farewell for her. I'm going to miss her for sure. For the last 5 years, she's been a good companion for me, when I'm over at his place... Ain't too familiar with his family then when I first started going over, and she was so friendly and approachable... I think I spent 10 times more the amount of time with her than with Rob's dad and sis... But eversince Prado joined their family, things are better now.
Heheh Prado's this really cute... Schnauzer... He came as a really tiny puppy.. Now he's 3 months old and growing fat... But the sad thing is I'm still reall afraid of him. Dunno what's up with me man... I simply adore puppies but I fear them! Silly old me right... Heheh
Been busy with giving tuition too I suppose. Time passes so quickly when I'm required to go out of the house, spend some time travelling, some hours tutioning.. and ta-dah... it's time for dinner... But then again, I really need a job soon! God help me! Hehehe...
Alritey, am off to Suntech to meet Daph and Mario now... see if I can secure some pics or something.. heheh... Laterz!

Photos....
Was just looking at Dannie's photo log when I realise that I should add more pics in my blog.
I have always love taking pics, and I have been uploading them onto my gallery until my comp crashed sometime back. And having reformatted my laptop, I don't know why but I seem to have loads of trouble uploading pics onto the gallery with the provided proggie. Thus I got lazy, thus I stopped updating my gallery. Am hoping to do so soon though!
Anyway, was looking at the pics that Dan took at East Coast a week or so ago. EUKS! I look so fat! UCKS! ARGHS! PUkes!
Okay, shall go download Hello for Blogspot now.. so I can add in more pics here! Hee....

Go Away...
Stewpig mozzies.... I hate them! Kept me up all night again last night.... Sheessh...
Was so determined to get rid of them that I finally went downstairs and bought 2 boxes of mosquito coils... Hopefully that will keep them away.
Was talking to adrian about blogging... and had a sudden inclination to add an entry before I leave to go for tuition. He was just mentioning that he feels like he doesn't know what's the point of keeping a blog anymore, since there's nobody to read them.
Well, for me, I write for my own pleasure. True, there will be times when you feel so dry... and the mood to log down your thoughts are not of utmost priority... But that does not warrant a blog shut down. hahah... I confess to being one of those who are so lazy at times that I just stay away for days.... or weeks....
Anyway, mood hasn't not been fantastic. I mean I still have fun cuz it's still the CNY period after all. (Yesterday had the most yummylicious dinner with my dad's side of the family cuz it's that 7th day of CNY... What they call 'REN RI'... it's considered everyone's birthday for God knows what reason...)
BUT there's always the but... I guess it's me being out of job and all that pulling me down. Feels like being out of a job is kinda irresponsible. Oh wells.... Hahaha... But I do need a job REAL SOON! Need to get my ass moving to send out more resumes.
Highlight of these couple of days: 12 escargots... Haha....

Valentine's Day and the 6th day of CNY!
Man.. how time flies! It's already the 14th of February and the 6th day of the Lunar New Year!
And it sure seems like it was only yesterday that I was having reunion dinner with my family!
But I guess time flies by so quickly because we're having a good time... and I HAVE been having a good time the last couple of days! Loads and loads of food... new year goodies and Ang Baos. But then again, I usually give most of my ang bao collection back to my mum to make up for what she has to give out. I only keep those that are from more special ppl like Rob's dad and my favourite aunty. Not to mention those that my parents give me.
Anyway, I love CNY too because it's the only time that we're allowed to gamble.
Not that I like to gamble, but I like the feeling of how most of the family members gather around some dining table or something, and play cards. Our family always play this game of four cards (per player), with a pair of leading cards, and a pair at the 'back'... To win, you have to have these two pairs bigger than that of the bankers. It simple and yet really fun! Addictve even I would say. However, the turn over rate is so darn fast! You don't even hold the card for more than 15 secs... just see, arrange and shoot... therefore it also means that you can win or lose (min)$2-(max)$10 (depending on how much you bet per round) in just 30 secs.
Hehehe... I Love it! But luck hasn't been so good to me this year. Haven't won much, neither have I lost plenty. So I guess I should be contented. Hehehe....
Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day one and all! I'm off to spend time with Robbie!! :)

Can't stand Mozzies...
Haven't been sleeping well these couple of nights.... Always waking up in the middle of the night due to multiple mosquito bites.... hate them! And can't turn on the air-con too... (cuz I usually deal with them by turning on the air-con) cuz my compressors like 13 years old, and makes hell lot of noise and if I turn on my air-con, my parents will be woken up by the noise... and they prob will be trouble going back to sleep...
Yeah.. stupid mosquitoes...
And this happens even when I'm like super tired! Like yest.
Went blading with dan, yilin, roy and rob. After like 40 mins, I was like sooooo tired that I couldn't bring my legs to start moving. Couldn't lift them up so I could blade properly, and it simply refused to cooperate and coordinate. So I gave up... started walking back from Mac's right to the end at Ford Road where dan's car was parked.
After that, reached home, dropped off blades and stuff, went to my aunt's place for dinner. Reached home around 10ish and had to accompany my mum to the market to buy stuff for the NY. And I had to walk everywhere....
When I finally hit the bed, was so tired that I simply concussed... But STUPID MOZZIES! Had to wake me up in the middle of the night with their intolerable bites... so ITCHY!
Should have bought those mozzie coils tonight to smoke them away but forgot.
But then again, din have time to also. Had dinner with jean and mel at Insomnia at Chijmes. Been a long time since we met up... we totally missed last year and as usual, jean attracted loads of stares... thank goodness most of the customers at the restaurant were ang mohs... so they prob don't watch local drama serials... so only the locals were looking at her... But t'was good catching up!
Anyway, we are trying to plan a cookout before March, before jean's schedule gets heated up again... am looking forward to it! Hehehe....
P.S. 2.30 am and I'm gonna watch princess diaries 2... wahahahha

Love is in the air....
oh Sweet sigh....
Been spending quite abit of free time watching soppy lovey movies... such as Ella the Enchanted, The Cinderella Story, 13 going 30, Firelight, Confessions of a Teenage drama queen.... and many more.... Sigh... Can't help feeling lousy after watching every time because the movies are all so fairy tale like... All with happy endings... And for myself? Future's so uncertain... I guess that's why I like watching those movies. Gives you a false sense of sweetness, a taste of what could have been but yet impossible, in the movies.
Hahaha... Silly me....
Anyway... Finished reading a book too. Le Seperation. It was kinda interesting. Give a really darn good insight to how ppl who are going through seperation might feel. All confused, mixed up... The book brought me through a thorough process, stage by stage, the healing process of a broken man... Am halfway through The Shipping News now. Rather interesting but remains to be seen...
Must be too much of these 'feel shitty' stuff that I felt kinda shitty today. Not to mention that it's Thursday and I've recieved no calls yet. Oh wells... Perhaps it's time to move on....
P.S. Just added a link to Dannie's Photo Log... Not too bad for a newbie I must say... Heheh... Keep it up dude!

Shopping!
Can't believe I spent the whole day shopping today! Met angie after lunch to accompany her to do her new year shopping but ended up doing some shopping myself indeed!!
1. Two bottles of Loreal 'Jetset' nail polish - $9.90 (Special Promotion)
2. 1 packet of finger guards - $1.00 (Been doing so much sewing that my fingers with mild ezcema got worse! Definitely need finger guards)
3. 1 sphaghetti-strap top from Seed - $11.30 (Own one in pink, bought a blue one because it's on 30% discount, it's so CHEAP! And of course not to mention, super comfy)
4. 1 black pleated skirt from South Haven - $55.10 (Been searching high and low for this out of the fashion pleated skirt and simply couldn't find a nice one anywhere. Bought it after much consideration... With my heart feeling squeezed after I made payment of course)
ARGH!!!! Splurging!!!! When I'm jobless!! URGHS!!! Lemme see.. That would be a total of $77.30!!!! Man... And that was not all.... Moving on...
Met mummy and daddy for dinner near home. Had a date with mum today to go shopping at Chinatown. Our annual practice... so as to purchase stuff to make our house feel more 'New Year-ly'... And being a woman like all other women., I did some shopping for myself too....
1. A hair towel that supposedly is able to absorb water 3x more than the usual bath towel that we use - $10
2. A casual sling pouch - $17 (Was looking around for one so that I can just dump my keys, wallet, mobile, tissue.. and even rob's wallet and mobile into it... and just zip out)
Total: $27.00
Overal Total: $104.30
Sigh... only comfort to myself is that... I don't always spend like this.. Just like how I don't always spend $55 on a skirt. It's for NEW YEAR... an occasion... Anyway, angie was telling me that skirt is suitable for dinners as well... Which I totally agree... Oh wells... Haha....
But the GOOD NEWS for the day is: I might have fairly found myself a tuition kid! Compliments from my dear cuzzie who's a teacher. She (the kid) called me up today but was busy shopping.. so told her that I will return her call tom... Haha... Oh well... Hopefully this pulls through. At least I'll get some pocket money... Before lady luck decides to give me more of the spotlight and actually give me a good job deal.... *keeping fingers crossed*

Changes...
Came in blogspot wanting to leave a new post (felt guilty about not having left any for such a long time)....somehow made me feel like how my life has been pretty 'stagnant' while everything else around in changing...
But then again, life's been pretty ok for me. Somehow it's filled with stuff to do (partly cuz I make it an effort to find things to do I guess) so time's been passing real quick. Activities include, blading, shopping, coffee, reading, eating, sleeping, sewing... Haven't exactly sent out that many resumes since STB and MDA and was just telling myself that after these couple of days, I'll start actively sending out more... lol.... talk about complacency....
Hahah... Yeah! Have started a new hobby since I was unemployed. I started getting really interested in embellishing my older blouses with beads and sequins to give them some what a make over and things have been turning out fine. So much so that my mum dug out two of her new blouses to get me to sew some on them as well... BUT just like my other 'on-the-spur-of-the-moment' hobbies.... I fore see that my interests will not last long.... heheheh
Was on my way home yesterday, in the lift lobby when I thought I saw a tiny brown leaf drifting past me because the wind was blowing... And out of the lift, came out this lady (wouldn't call her petite)... and I noticed how as she stepped out, she happened to step on the 'leaf'... and I actually heard a 'squeak'.... and when she walked off... Guess what? The tiny brown 'leaf' was actually a baby lizard... that was now squashed, bloody and gross looking....
I din know lizards are blooded too... Hrrm... what an ignoramus.....
*Disgusting*....
